Relationship between SEO and website traffic

Take for instance a road on which no one drive on. No doubt, it may be finest road without any cracks. No one knows if that road can lead to a perfect dream holiday destination. The same applies for a website which has no traffic and hardly gets visited. It is just like a space which you occupy and offering no benefits to internet users. To bring traffic, you seek help of SEO consultant or SEO expert.

Websites, especially business websites can’t even break even if they don’t have traffic. You can have a website which has creative as well as unique content but world of mouth will not lead you anywhere. You still need to build back links and that is what SEO consultant or SEO expert will do. Internet has dissolved all boundaries and you can get client around the globe. Thus, having people know about your website and getting traffic to your site has become more important.

Non-conventional yet simple ways for traffic:

It might seem to you that SEO is a specialized field and you need to avail services of SEO experts or SEO consultants. . True! But it is not tough. You can get traffic from simple ways like from your Facebook account or Tweets.

Paid Ads as source of immediate traffic

If you have money to invest and can’t wait to see results then paid ads or PPC ads are the option for you. You can get instant traffic and it will keep coming as long as you fuel the funnel with dollars.

Preventing traffic from going to real zero

One can get annoyed with traffic in rush hour, but online traffic is equally important as oxygen is to us. The more traffic a website has, better it is considered. You will not get top position in a day and it is a time consuming process. Till you attain top rankings, still you need to get your site live and kicking. Only then it will climb up, else it will look stale to search engines.

Getting return visitors

People might come to your site through efforts of you or SEO expert you have hired. The need is to get repetitive visitors and it is only possible if you write fresh and unique content and update it frequently. Make sure your site is user friendly and each information is displayed properly. Only then you can expect return visitors.

SEO- Offpage SEO Strategies

All of us are aware now that field of Search Engine Optimization is booming with every day. People might be unaware that what they learnt yesterday might become absolute tomorrow. The only way not to log back in race of SEO, one has to update his knowledge regularly by reading SEO articles.

Being a SEO expert, I feel it’s our duty to make people/clients aware of some factors that deal with Offpage SEO. Most of things you might be aware of and some might be hidden treasure for you.

1) Community Creation: Also termed as online reputation management, it is first step which you should do. Signup with popular social networking websites like Facebook, MySpace, Orkut, LinkedIn and create a profile for you/ your website. Connect with friends, share among them and promote your company. This will help you to build an online reputation. This is all what is popularly called Web 2.0.

2) Blogging: It is one of powerful strategies to promote your or any company’s website online. Write a blog with unique content. Convey precisely to your readers but don’t forget to promote your blog in blog search engines and blog directories. You can post comments at other websites too. If you are not good at writing content, hire someone!

3) Forums: If feasible, create online forum/discussion board hosted on your site. Invite your friends to start new discussion. Post replies/thread in other related forums. Your signatures can provide you valuable links.

4) Submission in Search Engines:  This is one of important steps. Submit your website in popular search engines. To name a few: Google, Bing, Yahoo, Alexa, Alltheweb.  Submit in as many search engines as you can.

5) Directory Submission: These days’ people think that directory submissions are useless. However, in my views it is still alive. Only thing you need to be careful is about directory in which you are going to submit your website and the category in which it will be submitted. Try of submit your site in DMOZ, Zoominfo, Onemission. Never go for paid listings.

6) Social Bookmarking: It can be a powerful tool but don’t abuse them. People submit content in social bookmarking sites without having knowledge about the right ways to extract benefit from them. Handle tags properly. Few do follow links can give a big boost your SERPs.

7) Link Exchange: Try to exchange links with industry related websites. This can give a major boost to your SERPs but beware of black hat techniques while exchanging links with other sites.

8 ) Link Baiting: Many people don’t understand link baiting and consider it black hat. It is giving due credit to author/original resource from where you copied content. If you follow it, chances are there that other might also follow the same practice.

9) Photo Sharing: Done correctly, it can bring handsome traffic to your website. Share product images and make them public. Invite your friends to view them/comment on them.

10) Video Promotions: As with photo sharing, you can share or publish your product videos, expert opinions in major video publishing sites like YouTube, Metacafe, Dailymotion etc.

11) Business Reviews: Write business reviews and ask your friends/clients to do it for you. Few major sites are Shvoong, RateitAll, Stylefeeder.

12) Yellow Pages and Local Listings: If nature of your business is service oriented, try to dominate your local market. Google maps, yahoo Maps, yellow pages, hotfrog, supermages are few sites worth trying.

13) Article Submission: It is one of oldest ways to earn backinks. Submit your website in good article directories like Ezine, Go Articles,Buzzle etc.

14) Press Release: Submit your PR in sites likes OpenPR, PR leap, 1888pressrelease. This might help your site to get published in Google News.

15) Classifieds Submission: Post your products/services on classifieds sites like Craiglist, MySpace, Vivastreet.

16) Social Shopping Network: If you have an e-commerce site, this can be good strategy and can help you get branding for free. Submit your product feed into MSN Online Shopping, Google Product Search and Yahoo Online Shopping.

17) Answers: Try to help people; people will in return help you. Answer questions asked by people. Sometimes you can place a link of your site in resource box. Some great sites are Yahoo answers, Answer Bag, Cha Cha etc. But don’t spam!

18) Document Sharing: Share your business documents, slides in Slide share, google docs. This helps in building brand.

19) CSS, W3C Directory Submission: If you offer website design or related services, submit your websites in W3C and CSS directories along with RSS sites.

20) Gadget/Widget Development: Develop some interactive gadgets for your site. Publish them on your website/blog and other social networking website. Let your friends and world be aware of your brand.

21) RSS Feeds: If you have a blog/RSS feed, then you can always submit your site in RSS directories.

22) Citations: Build citations to your website in authority sites. This will give a big boost to your search engine rankings.

23) Link Wheel: Also called Google Wheel/Wonder Wheel, it involves cross linking web 2.0 sites and your website. This can help you drive good amount of traffic.

24) PPC/ Adwords: If you don’t have time to put all these strategies to work and still in need of traffic, PPC is answer for you.

So you’ve setup your shop online, your products are stocked in the warehouse, but the traffic isn’t coming in as much as you would have liked it to. Where do you go from here? Well for one thing, jumping into the online marketplace can be an overwhelming feat even for the most experienced shop owner. Having the time for marketing in the real world as well as online just isn’t in the cards sometimes, so I’ve come up with a plan to make your life a whole lot easier. I’ve worked with dozens of online retail stores as well as my own online ventures in Ecommerce and drop shipping, so I know where to start and how to succeed.

No matter what the shop size, I can help you with your online marketing to make life a whole lot easier. Every client gets a custom campaign thought out and drawn up to meet the needs of the niche. Every single competitor will be looked at, broken apart and compared so that we both understand where we’re at and how to get ahead. I make use of my unique link building methods, social media marketing tactics and other Ecommerce only marketing methods that can be found online. Techniques to Increase Page Views on Your Blog

Techniques to Increase Page Views on Your Blog

1. Highlight Related Posts – one of the more common practices of bloggers to encourage readers to read multiple pages on their blogs is to to highlight related posts at the end of your article. You’ll notice that i presently have a list of 5 posts at the end of each individual page that suggests other posts that readers might find useful This list is generated by a WordPress PlugIn. Those of you using other blog platforms might find similar plugins for your own system or might like to manually suggest related articles at the end of your posts.

2. Interlink within Posts – a similar but perhaps more effective technique is to highlight relevant posts within the content of your posts. If you’re writing a post that mentions something similar to what you’ve written before simply link to your previous post from within your article. For example I’ve written about this technique previously in a post on increasing the longevity of key posts.

3. Highlight Key Posts and Categories in your Blog’s Hotspots – I’ve often mentioned that the hottest posts on this blog are those highlighted in my top three menus. Specifically it is those in the top left hand box at the top of this page that are always at the top of my most read post statistics. Depending upon the goals of your blog – you may wish to fill your blog’s hotspots with ads or affiliate programs – or you may want to highlight key posts that are central to your blog and which will hook readers into what your blog is about (thereby increasing page views). Highlighting your category pages is also another similarly useful technique to encourage your readers to find more posts on the same topic. To explicitly name what your category is can also be useful. ie rather than just having the category name at the end of the post – try something like ‘read more posts like this in our ((insert category name)) category’ or ‘filed under ((insert category name))’ etc.

4. Compilation Pages – Extending the previous idea about highlighting key posts you may wish to use posts in these positions that sneeze readers not just to one post on your blog but many. The best example of this on ProBlogger is my Top 20 Posts at ProBlogger post which is in my top left hand menu. This post, as the name suggests, suggests 20 posts on my blog that readers might like to read. I know that this is a post with immense power on this blog and that many first time readers use it to bounce into all corners of my blog. One or two new readers have fed back to me that this page and the pages that it linked to was the reason that they became hooked on ProBlogger. Every post they read added to the chances that they would become loyal readers.

5. Series – While you need to be a bit careful with writing series of posts over periods of time, they are a great way to keep readers coming back and once they are complete to have them surf through multiple pages on your blog. The most popular series on this blog is my Adsense for Bloggers series which leads readers through 8 posts. I know many readers progress through this series because I occasionally get a series of comments from a reader who is obviously progressing through it – 8 comments over 30 minutes or so as they comment on each post. Don’t just do a series for the sake of increasing page views of course – this can really frustrate readers but use them on longer posts or when you’re genuinely wanting to interact with a larger topic over time.

6. Excerpts on Front Pages – I know there are a segment of ProBlogger readers that detest seeing excerpts (extended entry feature) on blog front pages and are very cynical that it’s just a ploy to get more page views. While I personally like using excerpts on front pages it is not about page views for me (although I guess it is a side benefit of it). Personally using excerpts in this way is more about keeping my front page manageable and highlighting multiple posts on the front page. ie if a reader can come to my blog and see not only the last post but the title of the second and maybe even the third post then they are more likely to explore more than just the last thing you’ve written. I tend to only use the extended entry feature on longer articles and allow shorter ones of a paragraph or two go up on the main page – unless I either forget or see the post as an important one.

7. Excerpts in RSS – Once again there is always debate over this topic of full or partial RSS feeds. I know some bloggers main purpose in partial feeds is to get bloggers directly onto their blog – thereby increasing their impression/page view count. While this is certainly a benefit of partial feeds it is not my own reason for using them. Rather I use them for copyright protection and to stop people scraping my full content onto their site’s via RSS. Whatever reason you choose to use partial/excerpt feeds – you should also realize that doing so will cause some readers to unsubscribe to your blog completely. I know in going only with partial feeds that there are some other bloggers who refuse to visit my blog – this is a cost/benefit scenario that individual bloggers need to weigh up.

8. Enable links in RSS Feeds – Another way that I know a couple of bloggers use to get RSS readers to actually surf to their blogs is to enable the ability to post html/links in their RSS and then using links to previous posts in their blog, especially in the first paragraph or two of their posts. This is not a technique I’ve tried but I know of one blogger who swears by it and says it significantly impacted the number of visitors to his blog from RSS as well as the number of pages that they viewed.

9. Search Function – most blog blog platforms have the ability to use a search feature on your blog which enables users to search your blog for keywords. This feature obviously helps your readers to locate other posts on your site and as a result increases the potential for a multiple page view visit.

10. Build an Interactive Blog – one way to get readers coming back to your blog many times over a day is to have a blog that people want to interact with. I know some ProBlogger readers visit this site at least 10 times per day just so that they can engage in the conversation that happens in comments. Since I added the ‘subscribe to comments’ feature on this blog I’ve noticed some readers coming even more than normal – this can only be increasing page view levels as people return throughout the day. I’ve written (some time ago now) a few ideas on interactive blogging here and here.

11. Quality Content -This should go without saying but needs to be reinforced. Obviously if you write quality content your readers will want more of the same. Useful, original and interesting content should leave your readers hungering for more. Work on the quality of your blog and you’ll find that things like traffic levels and the numbers of pages being read should look after themselves and be on the rise.

At Levonsys we use cutting edge, targeted Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing techniques to maximize relevant traffic to your web site. Our SEO strategies are dynamic and designed to produce long-term results.

Top 10 Free Twitter Tools

Twitter is one of the top social networking platforms. Individuals and businesses can both benefit from using Twitter for sharing updates, news, and marketing. Here are the top ten tools and resources to help Twitter users find followers, manage multiple accounts, and get the most out of their Twitter experience.

Bit.ly
Bit.ly is a popular URL shortening service. If you register for Bit.ly, you can add multiple Twitter accounts to your Bit.ly profile. Anytime you shorten a URL through Bit.ly, either by going directly to their website or using their bookmarklet, you have the option to send that URL in a tweet using a specified Twitter account without having to login to Twitter.

Twitter Advanced Search
Twitter Advanced Search allows you to search for keywords and trends that have been mentioned in tweets. You can specify exact phrases, exclude certain words, language, to or from certain members, from users in specific locations, the date range of the tweets, whether they are asking a question, if the tweet contains links, and include or exclude retweets. On a personal level, you could search for local people who share a common hobby, or on a business level, you could find a potential customer based on their interests. There are lots of great uses for advanced searches.

Twitter Lists
Following too many people, and missing out on tweets from some of your favorites? Instead of having to purge your Twitter following, now you can simply create lists and add the people that you want to follow more intently. So if you want to catch up on your friends’ tweets, celebrity tweets, or tweets on a particular subject, you can create a custom list which can be shared with the public or private to only you. If you’re not sure who to add to lists on a particular topic, you can check out sites like Listorious that keeps track of the best Twitter lists on almost every topic.

Social Oomph
Social Oomph (formerly TweetLater) is a free service that lets you set up auto following of anyone who follows you, auto Direct Messages (DM’s) to anyone who follows you, and scheduled tweets. In terms of auto DM’s, keep in mind that many people consider them spam. So if you choose to send them, don’t just blatantly promote your website. One idea is to throw out a question. If you go with that, be sure to check your messages so you can respond to anyone that answers. That response could be the opportunity to share a link, product, or service, assuming it is valuable.

Twitter Karma
If you choose to auto follow those that follow you, you will want to periodically prune the list of Twitter members that you are following. Who do you want to stop following? How about the Twitter members who use automated following software to boost their numbers – they will follow you, anticipating you to follow back, then they will unfollow you. Twitter Karma will show everyone you are connected to on Twitter, and whether it is a mutual following, you are following them only, or they are following you only.

Twellow
Looking for people to follow who are interested in the same things that you are? Twellow is one of the easiest to navigate Twitter directories. You can browse through specific categories or search for specific keywords in Twitter bios. I would also recommend adding yourself to these directories with an extended bio including more information about yourself, your websites (if applicable) and other social network profiles where people can find you.

TwitterCounter
TwitterCounter is a great tool to see how many people are following you over time, so you will be able to tell if your numbers are going up or going down. You can see the top 100 Twitter members in a particular region as well as search for members with particular keywords in their Twitter bio. As an added bonus, you can view the stats for each member in the search results. If you are trying to build followers, follow members that have an even ratio of following vs. followers, as these are members that auto follow everyone back.

Tweepi
Tweepi allows you to enter the username of a Twitter member and see statistics about that members’ followers such as their number of followers vs. following, how many times they retweet others, how many times they are retweeted, when they last updated, how many times they reply to others, and where they are located. This can come in handy if you find a Twitter member whose followers would also be interested in your tweets.

TwitterFeed
TwitterFeed is a service that allows you to automatically tweet new RSS items to one or more Twitter accounts. For example, if there is a blog that you find you always want to tweet their latest articles, you could put the RSS feed URL into TwitterFeed, and it would publish a tweet every time a new article has been added. This is a great way to always have interesting content for your Twitter followers automagically flowing through your Twitter feed.

HootSuite
HootSuite is one of the top Twitter management tools. It allows you to manage multiple accounts in a tabbed interface, and under each account you can have multiple columns to keep track of mentions, direct messages, lists, keyword searches, and more. You can also shorten URLs in the HootSuite dashboard, and keep track of the statistics for tweets with Ow.ly URLs.

Our team of web marketing experts at Levonsys will create a SMO strategy that will give your website a good position and exposure in Social Media websites, which in turn will generate targeted traffic and also help create customer loyalty, brand identity among your targeted customers.

5 Ways to get Higher Ranking in Google Instant

Google Instant has not killed SEO by any means, despite the rumors. It has simply changed the approach that search engine marketers must take in order to get websites to appear higher in rankings and with their best foot forward. Here are some ways that you can ensure better rankings in the new Google Instant.

1. Include a Keyword in Your Brand Name
If you’re just starting out, you are in luck. Get your primary keyword in your brand name (preferably as the first word), and you will be halfway there, as the first results of the first keyword word entered into searches will probably attract a lot of clicks, especially if your brand dominates the first few results.

2. Include Google Suggest as a Keyword Research Tool
Considering that highlighting a Google suggested term will bring instant results, targeting the terms that come up for your primary keyword is now more important than ever.

In some cases, tailoring your keyword for the most popular phrase (instead of just one keyword) might be a better route, as typing in SEO leads to Google Suggest and Instant opting to show results for the next popular phrase, SEO tips instead of just SEO, putting that single keyword at the bottom of suggestions.
3. Get Locally Optimized for Generic Keywords
If your business has physical locations in one or more regions, now is the time to apply local search marketing to your website and your brand, both on-site and off-site. 73% of searches are for local content, which means you will want to make sure your business comes up instantly, showing people exactly where you are located.
Another interesting change with Google Instant comes for the localized keyword phrases. Since Google knows where people are searching from (whether or not personalization settings on or off), they don’t even need to enter keyword plus a city, if they type in type in just the keyword, they will be receiving instant local results when applicable without having to add on the city in their search.

4. Make Sure Your Online Reputation is Clean
Two of the new Google Instant features is the “Something Different” and “Pages similar to” sections in the left sidebar and beneath the first 10 search results. If someone is looking for your brand, and you have some negative entries in the top 5 to10 results, chances are they will be easily tempted to check out your competitors instead.
By having lots of positive online presences online (such as local search profiles, social media profiles, blogs, subdomains, etc.), you will be able to push down those negative results so that you will make a good first impression with your top 10 search results.

5. Dominate Search Results with Multimedia
It doesn’t matter whether your brand is a business or just yourself. Producing a wide variety of content will ensure that when someone types in your name or brand, they will only find you!

Our SEO Professionals team at Levonsys performs marketing research, suggest the best search engine marketing channel like SEO, SMO, Google sponsored listings (paid listing) and how to make a SEO friendly website for your online business.

How to use PostRank for SEO

PostRank is one of the most exciting research services available to bloggers and content publishers. PostRank can be used to find the top contents on the Internet, determine the level of social engagement per each post, and even track the performance of an RSS feed. The service does have a paid plan for those who want to add another layer of analytics to their existing platform. While I do suggest publishers giving this feature a try, you really do not have to come up with new content ideas.

In a perfect world, you’d do what you want to do and Google will find your content and rank it high in the SERPs. In reality, you will have to come up with new ways to expand your target keyword list and produce content relevant to your new keywords.

There are multiple ways you can go about finding new ideas for your articles with PostRank. For starters, you can just keep track of the hot content in those popular categories. Let’s say you are interested in topic a. All you have to do to track it is by using the following
URL: postrank.com/topic/a

That will give you a list of top websites about your topic of choosing. You can also see which sites have moved and down in the rankings recently. Best of all, you can analyze top posts per site to find out what is working for your competitors.

At Levonsys we use cutting edge, targeted Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing techniques to maximize relevant traffic to your web site. Our SEO strategies are dynamic and designed to produce long-term results.

How to get more visitors with Google Instant search

Google Instant is a new search enhancement that shows results as you type. Recently, Google released Google Instant. You have to adapt to this change if you don’t want to lose many website visitors. In this article, we’ll explain what Google Instant is and you’ll learn what you can do to benefit from the change.

What is Google Instant?

Google Instant is Google’s new way to display search results while the user is typing the query. Google tries to complete the query during the input.

For example, when you enter “bike h” then Google will display the results for the keyword “bike helmets” because Google thinks that this is the most likely query.
Google Instant will not display the search results for the keywords “bike h”, which are totally different. If you want to get the results for “bike h”, you have to click the search button.

Benefits

Faster Searches: By predicting your search and showing results before you finish typing, Google Instant can save 2-5 seconds per search.
Smarter Predictions: Even when you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, predictions help guide your search. The top prediction is shown in grey text directly in the search box, so you can stop typing as soon as you see what you need.
Instant Results: Start typing and results appear right before your eyes. Until now, you had to type a full search term, hit return, and hope for the right results. Now results appear instantly as you type, helping you see where you’re headed, every step of the way.
What does this mean for your website?
It’s very likely that the search behavior of searchers will change. Until now, people had to think to refine their queries. With Google Instant, surfers get suggestions while they are typing and many of them will select one of the suggestions.
That means that some search terms will get many more searches than before while the number of searches for other terms will decrease.
How to get more visitors with Google Instant search?

Google Instant automatically completes the search query of a user while typing. Google uses the keywords of Google Suggest to complete the query.
That means that the keywords that Google Suggest uses will get even more traffic than before. For that reason, your web pages should be optimized for the keywords that Google suggests.
Google Instant is not a new ranking algorithm. It is just a new way in which Google displays the search results. Some keywords will now get fewer impressions, some keywords will get more impressions.

At Levonsys, we are constantly researching and innovating with new Search Engine Optimization techniques to ensure we are giving clients the best possible SEO services, and the best possible results. Our Search Engine Optimization goals may be ambitious, but we also make sure they are achievable by using tried and tested ethical Search Engine Optimization techniques.

SEO Competitor Analysis Checklist

Understanding your competitors - their strategy, their tactics, their level of success, etc. is crucial to the success of your SEO initiatives. I am not just talking about your traditional competitors, I am referring to the other sites occupying spots in the SERPs (search engine results pages) for keywords that you are targeting.

Many free competitive analysis tools are out there, but you have to know where to look for them. Here are some of the SEO tools that I use for competitive analysis and what I specifically use them for:

SEO Competitor Checklist that covers the following:
  1. Identifying broad and niche competitors to analyze
  2. Onsite competitive analysis (keywords, content and technical analysis)
  3. Offsite competitive analysis (backlinks, link building strategy)
  4. Competitor surveillance (keeping tabs on their SEO strategy)
Competitor analysis for SEO is much more valuable than people realize. You should think of it as free marketing insight as to how your SEO campaign could perform. Think about it. In some cases these companies have invested thousands of dollars in their SEO, and with the right analysis, you could see what is working and what you shouldn’t waste your time on.

For any successful online business, a significant presence in search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN is a must. At Levonsys we Optimize your website and Increase the traffic. We make your website appear in the top positions in the results of major Search Engines.

Use LinkedIn for Link Building

Many of you may know about Linkedin. If you don’t, then let me enlighten. Linkedin is a social networking site that targets business professionals. It is helpful in setting up relationships for business opportunities and partnerships. It also has a more social aspect that is gaining in popularity. And while the business networking aspect is great, I’m writing to tell you it can be useful for link building.

Link building is a mix of art and science and where many traditional SEOs fail because it requires the type of personality a marketer would typically have, not a web designer/coder.  While difficult, time consuming, and sometimes extremely frustrating link building has become one of, if not the most important piece of SEO. Almost anyone can handle taking care of on site SEO so to differentiate yourself and rank where you want in the Search Engines you need to get high quality links.  Linkedin while not an actually a source of valuable links because they are no-followed is a valuable and robust platform for finding high quality links.

One of the best ways I have found to use Linkedin for my clients is to look at their recommendations.  The recommendations section in Linkedin allows users to have other Linkedin users to write a short blurb about their experience with that individual and give their review of that persons skills and or business.  These people have already said that they like that person and their work.  These should become the first targets on your list for links.  Before reaching out to these individuals first do some analysis of their sites.  Look at both their corporate sites and blogs and see how authoritative they are and how well they rank themselves.

Next is the hard part, you need to actually get in contact with these people.  While I will not go into details on this and save it for a later post, it should be done with an email and a follow up phone call and make sure you have articulated your argument for why the link would be appropriate or beneficial for both sides.  These requests are a good start for anyone just getting started in link building because  you will get less resistance because the individual you are reaching out to already has shown they approve of the person or site you want the link to.

Our team of web marketing experts at Levonsys will create a SMO strategy that will give your website a good position and exposure in Social Media websites, which in turn will generate targeted traffic and also help create customer loyalty, brand identity among your targeted customers.

Use YouTube to Promote Your Business

YouTube, at its best, is a free medium where low-cost productions garner millions of views and get picked up on newscasts. I am about to reveal some of the coolest techniques to promote a video on YouTube. We’ve used them with clients from all over the world and most of them have seen thousands of new visitors as a result of these powerful tactics.

 - Video Contests. At its core, YouTube is a huge video contest to see who can garner the most video views. Thus, a logical and proven campaign strategy is to channel the YouTube community’s natural posting and viewing behaviors by sponsoring a contest. To maximize your investment, use the contest by seeking media coverage. And don’t forget to promote the contest on your Web site or micro-site.
 - YouTube and Events. Make your company the most talked-about exhibitor at events by using YouTube. Take Intel, for example. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Intel was able to draw a crowd and leveraged the results on YouTube to demonstrate the power of its Core Duo processor. Attendees who lined up to dance in front of a green screen were multiplied by Intel Core Duo Processor technology into a grooving chorus line, echoing Intel TV ads. One of the resulting YouTube videos, Intel Dancing Dork, made YouTube’s most-viewed list during CES.
 - Link the Videos to Your Profile, you can link your videos to any page within YouTube. Set it up so when people click on your video they go to your profile. And from your profile they can click on the link to your website.
 - Use the Bulletin Board, this is a great feature that lets you start a conversation around your own videos. But don’t limit yourself to your own bulletin boards; use others’ too.
Encourage Viewers to Subscribe - End each video asking viewers to subscribe. Many people don’t know they can subscribe or they will forget unless you remind them to.

These are some of the techniques that we have used for our best clients. At Levonsys, we are constantly researching and innovating with new Search Engine Optimization techniques to ensure we are giving clients the best possible SEO services, and the best possible results.

How to find most profitable keywords?

Keywords play a major role in Search Engine Optimization. Whether you have one hundred successful websites or if you are working on your first, you most certainly have heard about the importance of keywords. While a website does need good design elements, easy navigation and other elements, it just simply can’t survive without keyword implementation. The words you choose will directly impact where you land in search results. Without understanding what they are, choosing the perfect ones for your particular niche and then implementing them correctly, a site can be doomed from the first second of being launched. Let’s take a detailed look at valid, free ways to find great keywords in order to have a successful website.

What are the guidelines that let you know how to find highly profitable keywords and not ones that will sink your ship, so to speak? The answer is that highly profitable keywords will be words or phrases which are frequently searched for in major search engines, but that are not already being used by a large amount of websites. Sound tricky, doesn’t it? Well, it is a bit tricky; however that is the magic of the Internet. And we will discuss several ways on how you can find highly profitable keywords to either optimize your site better or to get a new website off to a great start.

One of the first things that you may wish to do is to get out a pad of paper instead of getting on the keyboard. Brainstorm for a few moments. Your site must have a theme, it must have a focus, a certain set of words that tell what your website is about. The secret is to slightly change those words so that they are still words that are searched for, but your competition is lower. For example if your site is about soap, millions of people type in the very generalized word “soap”, too many for you to compete against. Therefore, you will need to come up with profitable keywords for your site, and use a different keyword that does have a good amount of use, but not so much that you are hidden by your competition.

Find Great Keywords

 - One great tool for finding highly profitable keywords is the Wordtracker. It functions as many keyword generators do, you enter the keyword that you had in mind and Wordtracker will suggest hundreds of alternatives, all similar to your idea, but slightly different, perhaps finding you that perfect niche that we are all in search of.
 - You may also wish to check out Google Adwords Keyword Tool, originally meant to help advertisers figure out how much to bid on words, you can use this in much the same way. You can enter one keyword or several at the same time. It also allows you to filter results if you wish, for example one filter will keep out profanity. Then, suggestions are listed out for you along with number. You’ll notice that the numbers let you know how many times each certain keyword was searched for in the last month. In some cases information is not available, and while it is not stated, one would assume that the number is very low.
 - Keyword Spy is another resource that works a bit differently. You can actually type in a keyword and it will let you know which sites are currently implementing that very same keyword. You can then also see which other keywords that are using as well.

Off Page Factors of SEO

SEO must be done in two different aspects to increase the search engines’ fondness to it. While one of these aspects relates to On-page optimization, the other relates to Off-page optimization. The latter is as important as the former, and probably even more important than it.
Off-page SEO pertains to all the influencing factors that determine your website traffic levels and ranking which are not inside the website; they are principally links that comes in your website from other websites referred to as “link popularity”.
Link popularity is a key factor utilized by the famous search engines in ranking websites. In order for SEO, to be useful, it needs to provide valuable, authentic and educational website content as well as information at the same time maximizing “Off-Page” factors in securing good ranking in search engine positions.

What are Off-page SEO factors?
  • Off-page SEO factors include all those components which are not present on your webpage, but still have the ability to control the ranking of your website in the search engines.
  • The main off-page SEO factor is origin of links from other websites to your webpage. In other words, it is the number of incoming links to your website that determines its ranking on the search engine.
  • If a greater number of websites connect to your webpage through the links present there, the search engines automatically bestow a higher rank to your page. This method is particularly effective when the content of your website is similar or related to the content of the websites on which the link originated.
  • The best method would be to post articles with link to your website on directories hosting similar information. You can also participate in forums and blogs based on similar themes can leave your remarks which contain link to your website in your signature.

How to increase your Google PageRank?

Search Engine Optimization can be split into two parts, on-page and off page optimizations. While on-page optimizations are mainly focused on activities to properly emphasize target keywords, off-page optimization means advertising our website and creating backlinks. Backlinks to our site have at least two roles. The first one is obvious. People browsing the web can follow the link to come to our site. The second one is increasing the reputation of the site. Backlinks determine also the famous PageRank – a numerical value which represents the authority of our site.

Google PageRank is a numeric value that Google assigns for every site. Since the algorithms used by Google are never disclosed to anyone so it is very difficult to say what exactly you should do to improve the PageRank of your website.

PageRank is a value on a scale of 0 to 10

Now the question is how to improve the Google PageRank for your website. Following are the best ways which you can do to improve the PageRank -

Add unique quality content to your site: Add unique content on a regular basis to your website. Adding new content will let users find something new every time they browse through your website. Another reason for adding fresh valuable content is that this will add new pages to your site.
Take part in discussions on blogs: Post useful comment on blogs related to your site and send link to your site.
Back links with niche websites: Try to get a link from niche sites of your industry. If your website is related to medical sector then try to get back links from other medical company sites.
Submit sites to search engine and directory: Submit your site to popular search engines link: open directory, Dmoz, Google, Yahoo, Bing etc.
Submit articles: Use article sites to add great articles related to your industry and add a link to your site on resource part of the article.
These activities will surely help your website's PageRank. But, this may take time as you may know that all SEO activities take time to show results.

How to do Google Reinclusion? - Reconsideration Request

First, it is necessary to clarify that the fact your site is missing from Google's index can mean two things:
  • You have not been included yet, though you have submitted an inclusion request. It is normal to have to wait some time before being indexed for the first time. You can't to anything to speed the process but wait.
  • You have been excluded from Google's index because of violation on your site. This is a real nightmare for any SEO and you will need to take some steps to correct this most unfavorable situation.
Why does Google exclude sites?

There are many reasons that can make Google exclude your site and all these reasons are related to a violation of some kind. For instance, your sites are over-optimized and this makes them very suspicious. Besides over-optimizing the onsite content, some of the other reasons for being excluded from Google are SE spamming, hidden text, hosting illegal content, linking to bad neighbors, inter-linking, etc.

To request reconsideration of your site:
  1. Sign in to Webmaster Tools with your Google Account.
  2. Make sure you have added and verified the site you want reconsidered.
  3. Request reconsideration of your site.

Reinclusion Tips

Look at their Webmasters Guidelines

It is unlikely that they have changed them recently and you do not comply with them anymore but it does not hurt to double check that you have done what Google recommends to do.

Don't spam them
Google receives heaps of e-mails and it is not possible to answer each incoming e-mail an hour or so after it had been submitted. Bombarding Google with tons of e-mails could only make your situation worse.

Is it your first time?
Google may not keep statistics of its recidivists but if it just happens that your site gets bans several times a year, this gets very suspicious. If you are banned for the first time, you can account on amnesty. But if you have been banned many times, you can be out of luck with reinclusion requests about the same site.

Consider AdWords

If you really rely heavily on traffic from Google, consider buying AdWords. This is not a blackmail (we ban you, you pay for AdWords) because many sites just do not pay for AdWords but rely on other traffic-generating schemes instead.

At Levonsys, we are constantly researching and innovating with new Search Engine Optimization techniques to ensure we are giving clients the best possible SEO services, and the best possible results. HTML5 – The Future of Web

We may think of HTML as tags and angle brackets. That’s an important part of it, but it’s not the whole story. The HTML5 specification also defines how those angle brackets interact with JavaScript, through the Document Object Model (DOM). HTML5 doesn’t just define a <video> tag, there is also a corresponding DOM API for video objects in the DOM. You can use this API to detect support for different video formats, play a video, pause, mute audio, track how much of the video has been downloaded, and everything else you need to build a rich user experience around the <video> tag itself.

Talking about SEO, HTML5 is a boon for SEO. By implementing HTML5 one can say that we can now allow seach engines to dissect and evaluate our pages more efficiently. Let us see how HTML5 affects the SEO of a typical web page.

  • The foremost thing is that the XML like structure. The HTML5 markup is XML like structure, which is the most search engine friendly structure.
  • Typically your web page consists of containers that are mostly <div> tags. be it your sidebar, your content, header or footer. making the search engine index complete page including text from headers and footers. Now you can let the search engine spider know what is your main content and what is your sidebar using the <section> <header> <article> and <aside> tags. The search engine spider would be able to index your content more efficiently
  • Define your main content for the search engine to focus, using <article> </article> tag.
  • The <header> and <footer> tags can tell define your page’s header and footer to the search engine. Another good use of header would be to define a post’s meta content like title, date of publish etc inside an article.
  • Embedded media like videos, and audio can be optimized well enough simply like this. <video> the alternate text or the search engine friendly text </video>.
So I would suggest you to keep your eye open on HTML5 markup as this can seriously increase your SEO score. But the sad part is that there are still many browsers that do no keep them selves updated with the latest markup. So it may take years to practically implement HTMl5 on your website if you don’t want to compromise with your traffic.

At Levonsys we use cutting edge, targeted Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing techniques to maximize relevant traffic to your web site. Our SEO strategies are dynamic and designed to produce long-term results.
